What Outer Appearances Save Cost? – Big Flat Surface Design Character

Though theoretically speaking, an AlSiC product could be built into any shape, only when we come to the consideration of cost, then the big flat surface design principle becomes useful.

The benefit of big flat surface is that only one shaped mold is necessary, and deviation of mold closing could be eliminated. Thus saves much of cost.

Please take the reference shown in Fig. for the big flat surface principle.

The lowest product, could be produced, but the design itself is not suitable for AlSiC production, and the production cost is pretty high;

The middle product, needs two molds to produce, and the two molds need positioning, which raise much of production cost;

The product on top, the design follows the big flat surface principle, save the production cost to its utmost.
